My "other job" is as an Assistant Professor of 3D modeling and animation at the local community college in the town were we live. Each spring I have the privilage of seeing the growing anticipation of both college and high school students as they prepare their final projects and get ready for graduation.

This time in life is pivotal. In the next few months, graduates will move cities, enter careers, marry sweethearts and generally set the course for their life.

Our four inch square hardwood Bible verse plaques are intentionally small so that they can be placed throughout your home in strategic spots (by the phone, front door, bathroom mirror or next to the fridge), as a reminder of God's promised to you each day.

As a small family based business we oversee every aspect of your order personally. Each order is assembled by hand from quality components to ensure your plaques will last for years to come.

We start with a four inch square hardwood plaque that is finished with a paint/stain. (Please note that we only offer one plaque size 4 inches by 4 inches).

A "keyhole" is cut in the back of the plaque to allow for mounting and a pressed felt backing is added to protect you walls.

The Bible verse of your choice is then printed on an heavy stock paper which is then immersed in a polyacrylic bath to protect it from the elements. After curing thoroughly, the verse is attached to the hardwood plaque with archival quality photography adhesives, lovingly had packed and shipped directly to you.

The evening after we moved into our first home, I was cleaning out a fireplace which the previous owner had left full of ashes. In the midst of the ashes something shiny caught my eye. It turned out to be foil lettering from a half burned wedding card. It turns out that after seventeen years of marriage the husband left his wife and two kids for another woman, shattering what seems to have been a happy home at one time.

As a young couple with little kids, we started thinking about the future of our own family. We had to ask, "How are we going to protect our family from a similar fate?" We talked about this for a few weeks when my wife came up with the idea of posting God’s Word around our home. After a few revisions we came up with the hardwood inspirational plaques you see now. These Bible plaques have helped our family memorize scripture and they remind us to walk the walk that we profess.

When we were younger, my wife and I were active in Church activities, we helped the youth, taught a college Sunday school class, we even served overseas in Asia for a summer. Focusing on God and serving Him was"easy", we had the time and the energy. But now, after spending the day with young kids, diapers, laundry and so many other things, we have noticed that we can go from Sunday sermon to Sunday sermon without ever thinking about what God wants from our lives.

One particularly bad day when money was running short, I was stomping around the house and grumping about my wife's overspending (my over-spending couldn't have been the problem... right?) when I stomped past the dining room and glanced at the plaque which has Proverbs 15:17 written on it. Almost immediately I stopped stomping and went back and apologized to my wife.

God used the Bible plaques to keep me from hurting our relationship over something trivial. There have been times when I have seen the plaques and went right on stomping, but when I do so, I stomp in defiance, knowing that my attitude is wrong and it's hard to stomp when you know you're wrong.

While this means that you have to keep your back rooms presentable, it is also a great conversation starter and a way to witness to your friends.
